Professional Development with a Difference

As teachers, you’ve probably sat through a lot of professional development sessions. You might have sat through sessions that didn’t feel very useful to you. Maybe you teach middle school and it was geared more for elementary, or vice versa! Maybe you didn’t feel like the trainer was really an expert in their field. Or, it just didn’t feel like the best use of your time - a precious commodity for teachers.

Here at Kesler Science, we try to give the opposite of that experience. We provide a variety of Curriculum Implementation sessions for our teachers that are straight to the point and useful. Our goal is to never waste your time with "extra fluff" and instead give you the best tips and tricks we have to implement our materials in your classroom.

Let’s take a look at what sessions we offer!

  • Membership Orientation - This presentation is really great for teachers who are newer to our curriculum. We’ll go over our platform in real time, showing you the best ways to navigate and find what you need. We’ll also give you a brief overview of everything we offer, and how it fits together.
  • Amazing Anchors - In this session, we’ll take a look at what phenomena is, and how to use it in your classroom. We’ll also look at where you can find phenomena throughout our curriculum, with an in-depth look at our Amazing Anchors.
  • Station Labs - One of the core pieces of our curriculum is our Station Labs! This presentation will show you the different stations we have, what versions we offer, and how to implement all the different formats within your own classroom with your students.
  • Reading and Writing with Kesler Science - Reading and writing is an incredibly important part of any classroom, not just ELA classes. With this session, we’ll look at all of the different pieces of our curriculum that assist you in making your learners better readers and writers.
  • Presentations & INBs - This session will take you on a deep dive into our different presentations and interactive notebooks. We’ll look at the best way to use them in your classroom, and how to combine the two pieces in a way that is effective for your learners.
  • Inquiry Labs - Our Inquiry Labs are a great exploration opportunity for your students, but hands-on learning can be daunting for teachers! This session will help take some of the anxiety out of lab experiences in your classroom, by looking at the parts of the inquiry labs and how to use them.
  • Escape Rooms - Finally, our escape room session will give you a look at these unique resources, and all of the ways your students can benefit from them! Whether it’s print or digital, we’ll help you better understand the escape room experience.

Our sales team is happy to help you with any questions you have on purchasing these sessions.

If you’re looking for a faster approach to the basics of our curriculum, think about attending our live, shared Curriculum Implementation sessions. These sessions last from 30 minutes to an hour and include a live demo of our platform. We’ll look at how to navigate, search, filter, and find all of the resources that matter the most to you. There will also be a Q&A session at the end to ask any and all questions you might have about our Membership, our curriculum, and more.

If you have any questions or suggestions about these sessions, please email us at training@keslerscience.com!
