Lone STAAR Launch Live!

We had an amazing time leading our Lone STAAR Launch Live training for 5th and 8th grade science teachers at Region 8 Education Service Center in Texas!

There is something special about gathering in-person with passionate educators who are ready to see their students succeed. From the moment our workshop began, the room was buzzing. Lone STAAR Launch Live was full of energy as teachers came together to learn how to better support their students during the STAAR Elementary and Middle School Science STAAR tests.

During Lone STAAR Launch Live, teachers actively experienced the same engaging activities their students will use in the classroom. No boring lectures here!

Participants explored each of the interactive stations, tested out hands-on experiments, and explored classroom-ready strategies designed to reinforce key science concepts. By the end of the day, teachers walked away with new instructional ideas, printed materials, and hands-on lab supplies for every station, making it easy to bring these activities directly back to their students.

Preparing students for state assessments is no small task. Standardized testing can have significant impacts on schools and districts, influencing everything from funding and campus ratings to teacher retention and instructional planning. Because of this, educators need resources that are both engaging for students and aligned with state standards. Kesler Science is proud to support classrooms across Texas with tools that make test preparation meaningful and effective.

Teachers using the Lone STAAR Launch resources can help their students review and strengthen their understanding through:

  • interactive Station Labs that reinforce key concepts through hands-on learning,
  • exciting Escape Rooms that challenge students to apply their knowledge while solving problems collaboratively,
  • original practice questions designed to mirror newly-implemented question types, and more!

Did you know that Kesler Science offers both virtual and in-person professional development for science teachers? Whether your team is looking for hands-on training with your Kesler Science resources, implementation strategies to transform any classroom, or new ways to energize science instruction, our professional development sessions are designed to provide practical tools that teachers can immediately apply in their classrooms.

If your school, district, or education service center is interested in bringing engaging, standards-aligned resources to your teachers, we’d love to help!
